- This topic interested me greatly; Its important to take initiative as well as leadership in an intern position. The more tasks you are given to complete, and the more capable you show yourself, the better off you'll be. In the end, the culmination of your skill-sets will determine how well you do in the future. The "Making the Most of Your Internship" article also touched upon it.
2: "Regular meetings with your Supervisor(s)" (quintcareers.com page)
- I notice in my internship that its very important to keep your supervisor up-to-date on your work and how you feel about your workload. The communication of information is rarely harmful. The more your supervisor knows about you, the better they can assist you as an intern, and your learning experience.
3: "Question Everyone" (about.com page)
- This was a quality portion of the article. Figuring out what others do, and how they operate within your work-site is a good way to recognize what type of jobs are out there. Getting acclimated with your surrounding in your internship is always a good thing; You'll never know when you need someone to help you, but if you've familiarized yourself, you may know just who to turn to when the moment calls for it.
